An Account of Fifteen Friends Dying Suddenly in Seattle
In 2020, Jay Bonnar was lining up for the shingles vaccine and was also vaccinating his kids. In early August of 2023, he told Steve Kirsch that he will never get another vaccine again, and he won’t have his kids get any more vaccines, either. So, what flipped his position?
Jay Bonnar: 15 COVID vaxxed friends died suddenly; 0 unvaxxed friends (rumble.com)
Jay is fifty-seven years old and has started three companies over the course of his career. He has been in sales for two decades and has been a first responder as well as a detective.
Until 2020, Jay had never lost any friends unexpectedly. One friend had a long history of heart disease and died of a heart attack when he was fifty-two years old. “So, there was no surprise when he died,” Jay told Steve Kirsch.
Kirsch started the interview with the following prelude:
“Here is the astonishing part of this story. Just the people whom Jay knows directly, not friends of friends, but people Jay knows directly, fifteen people have died unexpectedly since 2021 from zero dying unexpectedly during his entire life before that. Fifty-seven-year-old guy and zero had died unexpectedly, and he now has fifteen direct friends, people he knows the names of, and he will mention those names directly who died unexpectedly. These are young, healthy people who died for no reason. He knows seven people who are injured unexpectedly as well. So after the COVID-19 shots were rolled out, fifteen died and seven were injured unexpectedly. “
Jay Bonnar then provided Kirsch with a rundown of those fifteen deaths by name, age, how they died, and how he knew them.
#1 Andrew Titus: Bonnar said that this one “struck closest to home.” Andrew was his twenty-eight-year-old nephew and godson. Jay went on to say, “Andrew was an amazing man, perfectly healthy, His mother (my sister) was very pro COVID-19 vaccine, and she had told all family members that you could not come visit her or our mother unless you were vaccinated. So, I know that Andrew had the first round of vaccinations and had at least one or two boosters. Perfectly healthy young man, and his friends found him in his apartment dead on a Saturday morning six weeks ago, and the doctors are baffled as two why a twenty-eight-year-old heart failed in the middle of sleep.” Later on in the interview, Bonnar said, “His mother/my sister just speaks of it as an unspeakable tragedy. She can’t understand why her son died at twenty-eight years old perfectly healthy.” Further into the interview, Bonnar said, “The doctor did no chemical test to see whether the death was related to the vaccine.” Kirsch added, “Before the rollout, I knew of no doctors who ever heard of a twenty-eight-year-old dying in his sleep.”
#2 Alejandrino Taculad: Bonnar said that Alejandrino was his seventy-eight-year-old former father-in-law. “He was a very fit, healthy man,” Bonnar said. “He never drank or smoked. My ex-wife had him and her mother get the COVID shot two years ago, and within sixty days of him getting the shot, he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer even though he had never smoked a day in his life, and he was dead three months later from a very aggressive cancer. His wife, a week after the COVID injection, she had a massive stroke and has been a vegetable under hospice for two years.”
#3 Matt Runte: Matt was a forty-four-year-old Seattle firefighter whom Bonnar knew from his first responder days in King County. The fire department had a vaccine mandate. “Matt went out for a jog early one morning,” Bonnar said. “He was super fit as firefighters are, and dropped dead of a heart attack.”
#4 Jessica Wilson: Bonnar said the following: “She was in her early thirties, local mom, three kids, attended a local Catholic School where his children attended. In order to be a volunteer at any public or private school in Washington state, by mandate of Governor Inslee, you had to have a full round of COVID vaccinations. She had mentioned to several that she was not comfortable with taking the shot, but she wanted to be with her kids more to volunteer in their room. She got the shot, and a week later, she died from blood clots in her heart and lungs. She died suddenly.”
The March 17, 2022 issue of ICWA News and Views ran a story about Jessica in which it said the following:
VAERS ID: 1683324 has been perhaps the most publicized Washington death from a COVID-19 shot. The Defender from Children’s Health Defense ran an October 5, 2021 story about the death of thirty-seven-year-old Jessica Berg Wilson.
The article said that Jessica was opposed to receiving the COVID-19 shot but was mandated to do so in order to serve in her children’s classrooms as a “room mom.” On August 29, 2021, with no underlying health conditions, Jessica took the Johnson & Johnson shot at a Seattle pharmacy. She died on September 7. According to Jessica’s obituary, doctors diagnosed her with vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT), which is a rare, sometimes fatal, blood-clotting condition. In her memorial, her husband, Tom Wilson, wrote the following:
“Ultimately, this one-size-fits-all government policy cost Jessica her life, my children their mother, me my forever love and resulted in the loss of a very special person who touched many and was just making her dent felt on this world.”

Submitted write-up to VAERS for Jessica Berg Wilson: Patient presented to the ED around 10pm on 4/21, ~one week after her J&J COVID vaccine (exact date of initial vaccination not confirmed but was reportedly 1 week prior) with abdominal pain and headache. She was found to have thrombocytopenia (Plt 38) on presentation as well as renal and ovarian vein thrombosis. CT head showed a large right frontal intraparenchymal hemorrhage. She was taken for urgent craniotomy on 9/5 with EVD placement. Brain tissue was noted to have bleeding spots unresponsive to cautery and requiring local hemostatic agents. Repeat imaging showed worsening infarction. She had continued elevated intracranial pressures, so was taken back to the OR on the morning of 9/6 for bilateral EVD placement to help relieve pressure. Given her thrombocytopenia, thrombosis, significantly elevated D-dimer, low fibrinogen, and +HIT Ab test, she was diagnosed with vaccine-induced thrombocytopenia and thrombosis (VITT). She was started on IVIG 1g/kg daily x 2 days, bivalirudin with supportive transfusions to maintain goal plts $g50K, fibrinogen $g 150. Despite this, her neurologic status deteriorated due to elevated pressures, clotting off of her EVDs, and ultimately was declared brain dead in the afternoon on 9/7. Family withdrew supportive care and patient passed at 3:57PM on 9/7/21.
#5 Scott Plutko: Saviynt is a company that Bonnar used to work for. They were strong believers in vaccination. All the senior executives were vaccinated. Bonnar was asked to take the shot, but he refused and was fired because he could not attend the sales kickoff meeting without a vax. Two of the nine executives at Saviynt who took the shot are either dead or injured. The one who died was Jay’s work colleague Scott Plutko, who was fifty-three years old. “Scott was perfectly fit and healthy,” Bonnar said. “He had to get his booster, for it was a requirement for getting into London. ‘I’m going to get that shot out of the way tomorrow, and then I’ll fly out that afternoon,’ is what he had told me. Scott presumably got his booster shot, walked out onto the stage in London, and, in front of a large audience, he dropped dead of a massive heart attack.”

#6 Alexander Nuber: “He went to my gym,” Bonnar said. “He was thirty-one, he was gym goer, very fit and very healthy, and he and I had a conversation about how eager he was to get the COVID shot. I expressed my concerns that they tried to rush this, but he said that he trusted the government, and if it’s okay with them, then it’s okay with me. He got the shot. Then his girlfriend found him that night in his kitchen, dropped dead of a massive heart attack. It was the first injection he got, and the doctors think he was dead four hours later. The doctors were baffled as to how that happened. Nobody seems to want to talk about whether his death was from the shot. You can’t even find this in the obituary, because the family doesn’t want to talk about it, either. They know that it’s from the shot, but they don’t want to admit it. There’s a lot of cognitive dissonance there.”
#7 Dori Monson: Bonnar said that Dori was sixty-one years old and was the number one prime time radio host from three to six p.m. “He was a very popular conservative radio host,” Bonnar said. “I knew him personally through some friends. He was a really, really wonderful man. He was a conservative, but also a big proponent of the COVID-19 shot, and he spoke in favor of it on his show. He died of a cardiac event. No history of heart problems for Dori. I knew that Dori was fit, he was athletic, coached basketball, and he was a very active guy. There was no history of heart problems within his family or with him. He was vaccinated in 2021, and he did speak on air that he regretted doing it. He spoke of all that data of sudden deaths that were coming out, and he was concerned. He knew the work that you (Steve Kirsch) as well as Dr. Robert Malone and Dr. McCullough had been doing. I would say that he died a year or so after he was vaccinated.”

#8 Zach Broten: Zach was a thirty-year-old personal trainer. “He was extremely fit,” Bonnar said. “He dropped dead a couple days before his thirty-first birthday of a heart attack. I do not know when he had his last vaccination. I do recall seeing his profile on social media in which he had that purple frame around his picture saying, ‘I’m vaxxed; I’m protecting you.’ ”

#9 Gabriel Jungmann: “He was a friend of my son,” Bonnar said. “He was twenty years old. Perfectly healthy kid. He was taking a shower, and he had a heart attack. His parents found him in the shower. I had heard that he was vaccinated.”
#10 Chloe Nuttbrock: “She was another of my son’s friends,” Bonnar said. “She was eighteen; he went to school with her at Mukilteo High School. She was perfectly healthy, but after getting the COVID-19, she began complaining of severe migraines, dizziness, and buzzing in her head. She then dropped dead of an aneurysm. In my life, I have never heard of a perfectly healthy eighteen-year-old dropping dead of an aneurysm.. And it was a week or two within her getting the COVID injection.”
#11 Chris Smith: “He was a well-known guy,” Bonnar said. “He went to my church. He was thirty-one, a professional athlete who played for the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL. He received the COVID-19 shots per league requirement and spoke on social media about being vaccinated.

#12: Rachel Marshall: Bonnar said that Rachel was the owner of Rachel’s Ginger Beer in Seattle. “I knew her casually,” Bonnar said. “I had been into her business a few times. She was forty-two years old and dropped dead of a heart attack suddenly for no reason. I know that she had very strict COVID requirements on her business, which was one of the reasons I stopped going to her store. When the governor and the King County executive demanded that everyone had to be vaccinated to go into businesses, there were some businesses that refused to abide by that, but her business eagerly complied with the mandate. She stated clearly that everyone should be vaccinated, and if you’re not vaccinated, then ‘I don’t want your business.’ And so I stopped going to her business, but at forty-two she had a massive heart attack and died.”

#13 David Black: “David was a couple years younger than I and a work colleague,” Bonnar said. “I worked with him when I did business with Boeing, which had the vaccine mandate. He had no known health problems. He died suddenly of a heart attack. No other reason given, but he worked for a company that mandated the shots. I don’t know when he got it. All I know is that he died suddenly, unexpectedly for no reason.”
#14 Steven Hahn: “Steven went to my church,” Bonnar said. “He was fifty-four. I had seen him a few weeks prior at church, and he had no known health problems. He was a healthy, fit guy. He died suddenly, unexpectedly from “heart problems.” I don’t know his vaccination status. But it was very odd that a super healthy guy, and his family can’t explain why he dropped dead suddenly.”
#15 Michael Howland: “Michael was in his early forties and was a work colleague,” Bonnar said. “He worked for a technology company and was a systems integrator for Saviynt. He was a super fit guy. He was a triathlete. The company he worked for had the COVID-19 shot mandate. To get a job there and maintain a job there, you had to be vaccinated. He went on vacation in Mexico with his wife and three little kids, and he was walking down the beach with them, and he just dropped dead of a heart attack. This was back in January or February. I know that he worked for a company that required the vaccine, and if he didn’t get the vaccine, he was terminated, so I’m going to make the safe assumption that he was vaccinated.”
PLU Refuses To Let Go of the COVID-19 Shot Mandate
According to an article by the Brownstone Institute, “fewer than 100 universities out of 2,679 four-year colleges and universities refuse to let go of COVID-19 vaccine mandates.”
According to NoCollegeMandates.com, the only college sticking to the COVID-19 shot mandate in Washington is Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) in Tacoma.

The PLU web site offers a series of FAQs on this matter.
COVID-19 Vaccination FAQs for Students | COVID-19 Response | PLU
The first two are as follows:
The following is PLU's COVID-19 Vaccination Policy posted on their website:
What is the vaccination policy for PLU students?
A key component to opening safely and returning to in-person campus activities, consistent with public-health guidelines, is the requirement that all PLU students—undergraduate and graduate—be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and report it to the Health Center prior to arriving on campus in the Fall. We strongly encourage all students to keep their vaccine up to date by obtaining a booster vaccine when they are eligible. Please upload a picture of your CDC vaccine card to the ePass-protected COVID Vaccine Record link. (See PLU COVID-19 Vaccine Policy)
Why is PLU requiring the COVID-19 vaccine for students?
We are requiring the vaccination (with a booster) because the CDC states COVID-19 vaccines are effective at keeping you from getting sick and early data shows that vaccines help keep people with no symptoms from spreading COVID-19, but we are learning more as more people get vaccinated. Let’s not lose sight of why we’re undertaking this challenge together. Let’s not lose sight of why we began to practice physical distancing, why we wore masks, why we need to follow the university’s COVID-19 safety policies, and why we need to get vaccinated. We’re doing this together because, as of this month, the pandemic has killed more U.S. residents than live in Tacoma, Spokane, Federal Way, and Olympia combined. Your PLU community members have lost mothers, fathers, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and best friends to COVID-19.
Vaccinations protect our community. We believe that getting vaccinated is about providing our students with as “normal” a college experience as possible, as we care for other people and our communities, including our neighbors down the street and thousands of miles away. Additionally, mandatory vaccination will allow us to safely reopen all aspects of community life including the PLU on-campus experience. It will allow us to loosen some of the physical-distancing guidelines and activity restrictions and perhaps, in time, eliminate them.
As for those who don’t have an exemption and still refuse to take the jab, PLU says the following:
We are requiring that all PLU students — undergraduate and graduate — be vaccinated prior to the fall semester in order to enable us to restore a more “normal” university experience and to protect the health and safety of the campus and surrounding communities, and we are very hopeful that everyone will do so. Students who do not have a legitimate medical or religious/right of conscience exemption will not be able to attend classes at PLU. Although we anticipate our typical limited assortment of online and blended courses each term, there will be no fully remote study option available next year. The exception to this is the fully online Master of Science in Marketing Analytics; there is no vaccination requirement for this program.
We will also be building out an additional list of FAQs on this topic as they come to our attention.
Absent from their policy are key facts that ICWA, Children’s Health Defense, and many other organizations, doctors, and scientists have covered thoroughly: COVID-19 shots do not prevent infection, transmission, hospitalization or death. Natural immunity has proven to provide superior, broad, durable immunity. Studies show that susceptibility to COVID increases with each additional vaccine dose. And overwhelming data has shown any temporary risk reduction of any dose rapidly disappears, and never, at any stage, do any perceived benefits outweigh the reported risks, especially for children and young adults.
“There is a certain irony in the fact that the only course at PLU that does not require vaccination is their online-only Master of Science Marketing Analytics,” said ICWA’s Bernadette Pajer. “We are currently in the midst of a marketing war. It’s us against them, medical freedom advocates with all the ethical science on our side against government agencies and corporations with top marketing agencies on their side. As we work on donation-funded shoestring budgets to disseminate the volumes of science showing that COVID-19 vaccines in particular and mRNA platform technology in general come with risks too diverse and extreme to warrant either Emergency Authorization or licensing, public health agencies, Pfizer, Moderna, and the pharmaceutical industry have marketing budgets in the billions. And public health agencies have actively—illegally—been working with social media to silence our outreach efforts. This shows how much more work we have to do, and that for truth to win and freedom to prevail, we need more marketing professionals to join us. We don’t pay as well, often not at all, but we do offer the beautiful feeling that comes when you stand up for what’s right and know you’re creating a better world for our children.”
I have personally contacted PLU and was told that they have ended their vax mandate, but simply have not updated their website.
